Masque du fantôme de l'opéra

After its triumph at the Théâtre Antoine, the production of The Phantom of the Opera returns on 8 October to haunt the Théâtre du Gymnase in a production entirely reimagined by Benoît Solès (La Machine de Turing), who also wrote the adaptation.

Inspired by the iconic novel by Gaston Leroux, this french adaptation takes the form of a modern and enchanting musical. Original songs, captivating prose, a fresh look and a never-before-seen production.

In this new adaptation, the famous novel is brought to life in late 19th-century Paris, amidst the backstage world and secrets of the Palais Garnier. Music, passion, danger and illusion come together to create a popular show, accessible to all audiences, where beauty rubs shoulders with fear and love becomes a dizzying experience. An ingénue opera singer, a vicomte in love, a flamboyant diva, a theatre director willing to do anything… and, lurking in the shadows, a masked Phantom who seems to have emerged from the depths of the Palais Garnier to haunt the Théâtre du Gymnase itself!
